6x6, Ink on cradled Birch Panel, Hector is one of the intelligent animals who live in the Secret Realm. He will appear in Legends of the Secret Realm, book two, which is currently being written. Hector's an ally of the Magic Wolves, who are significant in all the series. Shantini and Jetson. Hector's a good spy when you need absolute stealth.
I drew this in 2018 at my Bainbridge Island studio.
Hector was inspired by living in the protected wetlands on Bainbridge Island for five years. The owls were so stealthy that it was memorable.

Drake — The King’s Enforcer.
The king’s voice in the shadows. With curses, murder, and quiet smiles, he silences dissent—and hunts the Keepers before they can rise.

A prison work camp bound by spells that trap its captives within their own minds. Through fear and memory, it breaks their will—and enslaves them into servitude.
